This is because every day, over millions of people search the web for information and according to Google, the content on your website should have more than just keywords and should be relevant to the readers. Being unique means that your content ought to be something that can’t be found on a dozen other blogs or websites.

Consistence in Fresh Content

An important thing to note here is that depending on your category of work, you should be adding new content very consistently on your blog. Your website should have new content posting at least twice or once a week. Though having in mind that you are competing with some websites which post new content daily. However most websites do a weekly posting, but some may even require a daily posting depending on the category of field of work.

In addition to this, avoid using a lot of images or flash content on your website, because this kind of content is not visible to search engines, and won’t help your Google rank. Images and flash objects are fun and eye appealing to your website visitors, but always use them with texts that describe them. By this, you will be able to give relevant content backed up by images because Google loves relevant content.

Keywords are those words or phrases that are mostly used by internet users to get information. Keywords are very important when it comes to Google ranking and Google search. It is very important to focus on  keywords while posting content on your website. However, one of the biggest mistakes that websites make is targeting the wrong keywords. You should take the time to analyze the keywords that are common from google users and they should be those that lead to conversion in your business. One way to do this, is to have analytics software, like Google Analytics, installed on your website so that you can see how visitors are interacting and finding your site. In addition to this, you can use the Google Adwords Keyword tool to find out the most valuable keywords for your entire website and for each page individually to know those that have a high number of searches and low competition.

Grammar

This many sound a bit light, or even awkward, but it is true that Google takes into consideration your sentence structure and language use. Google does not want to present websites to visitors that sound  spammy because one of the signs of spammers is poor grammar. It is therefore essential to have correct grammar on your website.

2. Backlinks

Backlinks are other websites that link back to your site. Backlinks are very important in your Google ranking because they are like “votes” for your page that tell search engines that other webpages like and utilise your page for information. They help increase your site’s authority if the websites that are listing you are reputable, have high rankings and good traffic. Pages with a lot of backlinks usually rank higher on all major search engines, including Google. This is true because Google relies heavily on external links to determine how good a post is. When other websites link back to your site, it is a good sign to Google that your content is quality. Therefore you have to ensure that your content is quality, relevant and useful for other websites to link back to.

Backlink for your website means that you are attracting and engaging more readers who have the Alexa toolbar installed especially the bloggers who are linking to you. It is true that a few may not have the toolbar but most of them should, as they share your interest in lowering their own Alexa rank. This is a great opportunity for your website because it will increase your new website visitors and help to lower your Alexa rank.

3. Social Signal

Social signals have a great effect on your google search because with social media, this means that you are engaging users and your website is becoming more and more active with comments and shares. You ought to know that sharing content on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and many others is a big strategy now.

As your content gets more sharing and distribution, you’ll begin to gain more traffic and visibility. In turn, this leads to more natural links from genuine websites and sources. When you start commenting around on your shares and on others websites that link to you, leaving thoughtful reactions to people’s writing. Not only will the site owner notice you, even the other readers will also see your name and website out there. This will definitely increase your site visitors and lower your Alexa rank. With the Alexa rank, you have to make sure that you double your site visitors every week and if possible, every day.

This is also important for your Google rank because Google wants to see that you are social and interacting with your customers. This becomes big when many people are engaging and interacting with you on social media with sharing and eventually getting backlinks from other websites.  This is something that will get you to be ranked highly by Google.

4. Responsive Design and a Good User Experience

Since everything has gone mobile, everyday Google users are searching in for information using mobile devices. This means that mobile friendly websites please Google and portray professionalism. And Google likes mobile responsive websites that are accessible cross-browsers and cross-devices. Google will rank mobile responsive websites much higher than those websites that are not mobile optimised to be viewed and used by mobile devices. Apart from a mobile responsive website, your visitors must enjoy being on your website. They need to be able to find links and content quickly and easily. With such a convenient website, your visitors will increase which will definitely lower your Alexa Ranking since Alexa ranks by the number of the unique visitors that your site gets compared to other websites.

5. Load Time

Just like user experience, load time is very important when it comes to your website visitors. When your website takes long to load, you’ll end up frustrating your website visitors. Frustrating your website visitors would most definitely negatively affect your Alexa rank. With images, you have to ensure that they are lightweight and fast. In short, your website must be fast. You should be aware that having many unnecessary images, Flash and many videos will slow down the loading time, which is an issue taken in consideration by Google. Therefore, to rank highly with Google, avoid having the same content on more than one page because Google will only index them once.  And to lower your Alexa rank, you should have a very convenient website that attracts new users every day. This is something you should always have in mind.

  1. Hi admin, all the things you’ve mentioned are actually true and thanks for the article. But I have to point out that in my own experience the Number 1 factor for being ranked highly is Good Quality content because with high quality content, your website will be ranked higher than websites with more back links than your.

    1. Thank you Tequan
This is absolutely true. One of the blogs we have noticed with a few posts but of high quality is Backlinko by Brian Dean. He is NOT about how many articles he writes BUT about the Quality of his content. Like you mentioned, its the number one factor to be highly ranked in Google and perhaps other search engines. I think, this was our number one tip too.
Thanks for dropping by your feedback.
      Cheers
